OUR MISSION
We aim at providing a space for dialogue and exchange among different forms or ‘styles’ in
cultivating the art as we believe that ‘the principles of aikido are common while forms or katas are
different’. By doing this, we aim at creating bridges of understanding and friendship among different
practitioners that are enriching, bringing the world closer together in general and aikido
practitioners in particular.
We do this by organising seminars and events with other dojos, both on the ground and online.

AIKIDO
Α Peaceful Martial Art
Aikido is the art of "non resistance". It is a non violent arts of self-defence that was developed by Morihei Ueshiba in Japan at the beginning of the 20th century. Aikido focuses on effective confrontation of attacks and other difficult situations by employing techniques that are natural and do not depend or make use of violence.
The training aims at cultivating self-defence skills, including the development of our natural physical and mental powers. Through training we can improve our concentration skills, endurance abilities, balance, internal peace and watchfulness; while at the same time we learn to defend ourselves without causing harm to others.
